With the P-10 M (Micro), the successful Czech arms manufacturer completes its P-10 series, which until now consisted of the official pistol P-10 F (Full Size) and the smaller P-10 C (Compact). . Contrary to the usual procedure, the CZ P-10 C was the first to see the light of day. Now CZ is launching the P-10 M, the smallest version of the polymer-framed pistol chambered in 9mm Luger with a firepower of 7+1 cartridges.

With an empty weight of 20.1 oz/572 g and small dimensions, it clearly belongs in the subcompact pistol category. There are many competitors in this category: for example Beretta BU9 Nano, GLOCK G43, Ruger LC9, Smith & Wesson M&P9 Shield or Walther PPS. For The Cz P 10s
Sleek looks are the design hallmark of the visually appealing little Czech - you won't find yourself removing the hand-operated outer stop or lever on the left or right side. However, after firing the last cartridge, the slide is caught by an internal mechanism. After replacing the magazine, the slide is released by pulling it back.
To disassemble, the pins must be pushed out of the handle. Since this task is not done every day, you can live with it.
The slide stop is only in the P-10 Micro. The lever that operates the magazine catch moves to the corresponding one on the face of the bolt.
Due to its eel-smooth surface, the P-10 M cannot be caught anywhere when carried, for example with the popular "appendice inside belt" under-shirt method of wearing. If you look at the magazine, the design will at least remind you of the HK P7 M13 magazine.

At the top, the magazine is designed as a single stack, further down the cartridges are stacked in 1½ rows, or rather at a right angle of about 30° to each other. This gives the P-10 M more cartridges than the GLOCK 43 or Walther PPS, while maintaining the same height. So the grip is about 0.86”/22mm at the top where the thumb and index finger meet. The grip texture is quite grippy on the sides and quite aggressive on the front and rear. The manufacturer has designed the surface of the frame, which can mostly be connected to clothes, in a way that is more suitable for textiles.
The trigger is similar in characteristics to a two-stage trigger, but only breaks at a relatively high 7.9 lb/3600 g. The trigger assembly, which CZ calls SFDA (Striker Fire Double Action), is a partially preloaded system similar to what we know from GLOCK pistols. Here some of the force is stored in the shock spring by the forward movement of the slide. The rest is transferred to the striker via the trigger lever via the trigger finger. The semi-bias is considered so safe by CZ that the firing pin safety is not needed at all.
The "double-action" designation of the P-10 M adds to the confusion, as it is not possible to operate the trigger as you would like, for example in the event of a misfire. In the United States, the primary market for such a subcompact pistol for everyday concealed carry, pistols with a bias trigger system are nevertheless classified as double-action firearms by the ATF (Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives). Therefore, it is logical that the system is named after the manufacturer.
We tested the subcompact concealed carry pistol with 5 types of factory ammunition ranging in projectile weight from 107 to 147, three of which were pure defensive ammunition. One of them is a fairly young GECO 107-grain action extreme with a lead-free hollow point, a very interesting load.
Cz P10 Trigger Upgrade
Although ranking by groups achieved is not the most important criterion here, we like to start with it. The best score at 15 meters was 2.12”/54mm Spear Gold 147 grains in two average 5 shot groups. Followed by S&B 124 grain FMJ stock 250 pack, 2.48"/63mm GECO cartridge 124-grain all-copper lead bullet 2.48"/63mm. All loads average 2.59”/66mm.
The high performance of the 124 grain Speer Gold Dot was very interesting. The bullet produces 362 m/s from the 87 mm barrel, which is 526 joules. Speer's technicians did an excellent job on this short-tube load thanks to a well-thought-out choice of propellant. However, it is precisely with such loads that the P-10 M is a good choice. Meets the fate of most subcompact handguns with a short, narrow handle. The shock is absorbed by the smaller surface area of the hand and is therefore more uncomfortable. Since you need to practice regularly with subcompact rifles to master the weapon in a no-nonsense way and to be able to make clean shots even under stress, it is best to take a few test shots before purchasing. If the recoil is too strong or the grip too small, it's better to move on to the next larger version, although the appeal of these extremely practical pistols is certainly omnipotent.
With the P-10 Micro, Czech manufacturer Ceská Zbrojovka (CZ) significantly expands its line of polymer-framed percussion pistols, which now consists of three models. Like the CZ P-10 F and C, as well as many other pistols of this brand, the new micropistol can impress with its good price-performance ratio. With its impressive design features, the P-10 M does not have to fear comparisons with its competitors. It costs 576 euros – slightly cheaper than the GLOCK G43, but the difference in the price of the Walther PPS, on the other hand – about 200 euros – is already clear, focusing only on two examples. That and the performance offered make the CZ pistol a good buy.
